Bolton, Fain, Graves all gain second feature wins of 2009 at Lady Luck’s Beat The Heat
LUBBOCK, Texas (March 20-21) – Three of the four drivers racing their ways to victory lane
during Lady Luck Speedway’s rescheduled Beat The Heat special earned their second wins of
the 2009 season.
Monte Bolton topped Friday’s feature and Tommy Fain paced Saturday’s show for IMCA
Modifieds. Kenneth Graves took the night two checkers in the Southwest Racing Specialties
Southern SportMods.
Bolton’s win came ahead of Jimmy Ray, Roy Don Mason, Fain and Owen Puckett.
Bobby Sikes, Fred Wojtek, Bolton and Philip Houston rounded out Saturday’s Modified top five.
Chris Meyers’ first win of the season came in Friday’s Southern Sportmod event. He was
followed at the finish by Jeremy Gossett, Justin Shaw, Ronny Hopper and David Cory Riley.
Trailing Graves were Darren Young, Lance Shaw, Stephen Robison and Dustin Robinson.
Both Modified mains paid $500 to win while the SportMod features paid $400.
Inclement weather had forced postponement of the event from the previous weekend.
